How to travel to La Mare

If you’re planning a visit to La Mare Wine Estate in St Mary, Jersey, you may be wondering about the best way to get there. Bus: Routes and schedules for the bus to La Mare Wine Estate.
Taking the bus to La Mare Wine Estate is a convenient and affordable option for those who don’t want to drive. The number 7 bus runs from Liberation Station in St Helier to St John’s Church. (This is changes to the Number 5 – don’t worry just stay on the bus) To get to La Mare you want to get off Rue d’Olive South in John, which stops right outside La Mare Vineyards. The journey takes around 30 minutes and buses run every hour from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, buses run every two hours.

There are two buses that leave La Mare Estate every hour on week days and Saturdays. The timetable is slightly confusing as the No  changes to the No 5 however as long as you are at the bus stop outside La Mare at 10 minutes past the hour or at ten minutes to the hour then you won’t miss it.

Please be aware that the last buses are 4.30pm and 5.30pm on a Sunday.  You can check the latest schedules and fares on the LibertyBus website or go to App Store and download their app. There is also a bus tracker on the Government of Jersey  website which shows where the buses are in situ.

It’s the best way to get here as you don’t have to worry about how many glasses of wine or gins you enjoy on your tour!

Bike: Renting a bike and cycling to La Mare Wine Estate.
For those who enjoy cycling, renting a bike and pedaling to La Mare Wine Estate is a great option. Simply follow the signs for La Mare Wine Estate from St Mary or St Peter and turn into the driveway. There is also a disabled parking area located near the entrance. If the car park is full, there is additional parking available on the roadside nearby. Just be sure to park safely and considerately.

Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle, especially if it’s a hot day.
