Great venue. Really enjoyed the tour and tasting.Beautiful estate, very well looked after. Great shop and lovely cafe with a good menu choice. Our wine tour and tasting was with 'Grumpy ' Bob, he was great, very informative and amusing but I'm not sure if non-Brits quite understood his humour, but we enjoyed his stories. We travelled by taxi but returned to St Helier by bus which came hourly and was easy. The actual tasting was fun, just a pity we didn't have checked bags to take a couple of bottles home; I especially liked the sparking wine which wasn't too sweet or too dry. An enjoyable experience and good half day activity for something different to do.A very interesting and informative winery. The tasting was well explained and enjoyable. A good selection of wines and chocolate. The tea rooms are licensed with an outstanding selection. Would recommend the afternoon tea.A small quaint vineyardWe visited whilst on holiday, went for the Tour and got educated by Louise, she was very friendly, extemely knowledgable about the vineyard and processes. We also stopped for lumch and a cheeky glass of wine and the service was lovely as well as the setting. Would recommend.Brilliant fun, slightly tipsy experience. "Grumpy Bob" lives up to his name till the tour stars, so don't be put off. Informative, fun & tranquil. I recommend paying online as you save some money. Nice onsite coffee shop & restaurant. Lovely white wine, smooth red wine and a white sparkling wine which would put any champagne to shame. Nice cafe with good selection of food and drink at a reasonable price. We took part in an organised tour with wine-tasting, which was good value and well-led by Helen.Tour of the vineyard, winery and distillery was really interesting with a very knowledgeable guide. They’re trying very hard to make the most of all their resources.We booked tickets in advance online just to make sure we could get in. Very easy to do. We checked in, I had my ticket ready but they knew my booking as soon as I gave my name which was nice! Helen who was our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the vineyard, the wines, how they're created even the barrels the wine/brandy etc are all stored in! I was impressed. The tasting hall was impressive. I liked the glass chandeliers (technically plastic but very cool nevertheless) The tasting while watching the video was very good too and at the end a chocolate tasting cup with an apple brandy liqueur? So good I bought 2 bottles! I'd recommend going and I'd go back next time I visit Jersey!We had a great visit. Our guide Helen, was very informative & she made the visit very interesting & entertaining.Wedding venueInteressante und unterhaltsame Tour mit Grumpy gemacht. Empfehlenswert.We did the wine tour which was excellent. The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. You get to walk through the vineyard and then see behind the scenes. They were actually bottling the sparkling wines. Once you have seen how the wine and their chocolate is made you then get to sample 4 different drinks (white, red and sparking and a brandy cream). The tour takes about an hour but you can stay longer to have lunch or walk through the gardens.Our daughter's Wedding was the most amazing day at La Mare. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The food and service were excellent and the venue itself is beautiful. Communicative and supportive throughout the whole process. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable day.Visited on our 20th wedding anniversary. We'd booked the tasting tour and were lucky to be the only ones, so.. private tour! The lady (Helen?) looking after us, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and made it a great morning. We had lunch there too which was faultless. All the staff were lovely throughout as well. Recommended.Great wine tourFantastic wine, food and lovely staff. There is a playground and kids menu.Great experience, great wines and very friendly staff.We did the guided 1.5 hour tour which was about 25$ and it was so worth it! I’ve been a few times and just gotten a glass or flight and in the tour you get a great break down about how the winery works and then you get 4 tastings and also the liquor and chocolates.We really enjoyed our visit to La Mare Wine Estate. It’s such a beautiful place and the whole experience was relaxed, interesting and thoroughly enjoyable. Our guide, Tom, was fantastic – friendly, knowledgeable and engaging, and he made the tour great fun. We also loved all the different wines and other products we were able to sample along the way. A really lovely way to spend a few hours in Jersey and somewhere we’d definitely recommend visiting.Fantastic tour, food and drink!ExcellentAn incredible place - thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting tour and learning all about the history of the estate. Andrew was an excellent tour guide and made the tour engaging and fun for everyone. We loved seeing behind the scenes and learning all about the wine making process but we also enjoyed tasting the delicious chocolate and fudge. We went to the café before the tour and will return for another cream tea this week! Highly recommend the scones! Thankyou!We have visited jersey for the last 15 years every year most years twice and we always come to la mare. However. This is the first time we have been with a group and did the wine tasting and tour and I think this is one of the best value if not the best value for money thing you can do on the island if this is your sort of thing. Staff and tour guide are brilliant and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Wine is absolutely fantastic and has a story behind it. Even the cafe is fantastic for lunch or a cream tea. I know you cant please everyone and as with everything you get people that leave a bad review as they are just miserable people anyway but if I can say one thing... Ignore the tiny population of negative reviews that people have left and go and have a great experience at la mare. It's genuinely brilliant.Our guide Louise gave us a lovely tour through the yard and introduced us to the different tastes of the island. We had a lovely time here and spend a lot of time (and money) in their cute gift shop, which also offers tasting possibilities and several local products and souvenirs. If you don’t have a tour booked, you can have a wine tasting flight in the café, we didnt have any food here but everything we saw looked absolutely amazing! This was our highlight of our weekend trip to Jersey, would recommend everybody to pay it a visit!Me and My husband got married there last month and it honestly was the most perfect venue: from the stunning gardens and reception room, to the outstanding food and all the incredible and friendly staff. The day ran so smoothly and no stressed, Karen and Margaux, were amazing through the whole journey of planning the wedding to the day itself. All of our guest have been so complimentary of the venue, the service and of course the food and wine! So, we can't thank everyone at La Mare enough for making our vision become a reality! Such beautiful grounds with plenty of outdoor seating, and the tour was fantastic. Our tour guide, John, was so informative and really made the tour. He was kind, funny and you could tell he really enjoyed his work and had a passion for both the wine and his colleagues. The wine itself was absolutely stunning (the red in particular) and the cream liqueur, as well as the fudge, was gorgeous. Really well priced for the tour too, highly recommend a visit.The wine tour is well worth booking. It gives a great insight into the wines, ciders and variants they produce, with tasting at the end. We also booked the afternoon tea, which was also well worth the cost.Very well organised vineyard tour and tasting - special thanks to Louise who led the tour on probably the hottest day of the year!La Mare Wine Estate is a beautiful gem in the countryside of Jersey Island. Everything, from the vineyard to all the buildings, is quite simply beautiful. The tour and tasting was very interesting and we tried great produce (not only the wines, but also the chocolate and some of the spirits). The passion and dedication of the people working there were incredible, it has been such a good afternoon! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny, took us through the grounds -history and present. Highly recommend. Easy public transport from St Helier so everyone can enjoy the wine tasting!Wonderful winery and a true hidden gem! We are absolutely thrilled with our visit! The farm shop offers a fantastic selection of local delicacies—the salted caramel cream is an absolute must-try and simply heavenly. WlForget the traditional cream tea hotspots in Jersey. We had the best cream tea here in a long time! The scones taste wonderfully fresh and nostalgic—just like they used to be made back in the day. The entire staff is extremely warm, super friendly, and attentive. A huge plus: dogs are warmly welcome here, which made the stay perfect for us. An all-around fantastic and very cool experience. Almost too good to keep as a hidden gem—highly recommended!We went for the visit with tastings, really enjoyed, so we stayed for 3 course lunch, and I must say the food was excellent, been a long time since we had such good meat!
