Double Award Win for La Mare’s Gardens
We are proud to announce that La Mare Wine Estate has been honoured with two significant awards at the 2025 Royal Jersey Agricultural & Horticultural Society Garden Competition.
Jersey Tourism Silver Bowl – Gardens Attached to a Tourist Attraction
With a near-perfect score of 99.25 points, the judges praised La Mare as an “Excellent Tourist Attraction” with “beautifully maintained flower beds and lawns with manicured edges.”
Jersey Beekeepers Association Shield – Best Pollinator Friendly Garden
Our vibrant wildflower meadow, lovingly referred to as the Pollinator Patch, was highlighted as “outstanding” by the judging panel.
Presentation Evening at the Royal Jersey Showground
The awards were presented on Wednesday 6 August at a special ceremony hosted by RJA&HS. Representing La Mare on the night were team members Andrew Smith, Effren Segundo, Nelson Nunes and Abner Mirasol, who proudly received the trophies and certificates on behalf of the whole estate.
We’re incredibly grateful to the judges and organisers, and deeply honoured to be recognised among such a talented community of local gardeners. We look forward to welcoming visitors to stroll through our award-winning gardens, soak in the scenery, and discover what makes La Mare so unique.
