Green Tourism on the cards at La Mare Wine Estate

Green tourism is on the cards at La Mare Wine Estate and three other local attractions, this season.
The Estate in St Mary has joined forces with Jersey Zoo, Hamptonne and La Hougue Bie to launch a special ‘Green Attractions’ card.
The card offers £1 off admission to each of the four attractions for seven days, giving visitors a green light to a better deal at each of them.
La Mare’s Managing Director Tim Crowley said: “We’re delighted to be running this ‘Green Attractions’ scheme with Jersey Zoo and Jersey Heritage, both of whom are passionate about their environmental responsibilities and share our sustainable philosophy.”
Jeremy Swetenham, Commercial Operations Director of Jersey Heritage commented
“This is a wonderful way for Hamptonne and La Hougie Bie to be working with other attractions and making the most of these Green Award winning sites.”
La Mare and Jersey Heritage sites Hamptonne and La Hougue Bie are also Gold members of the National Green Tourism Scheme, championing the needs of the environment, local residents, businesses and visitors both now and in the future.
La Mare who are also Business Leaders in Jersey’s Eco Active scheme have a number of green initiatives on the go, they have recently switched 95% of all their lighting to LED and plan to reach 100% by the end of the year.
